A canopy is a great way to add shade and protection to your garden. Whether you’re hosting family and friends or just want a relaxing spot to soak up the sun, a canopy is the perfect solution. A canopy can also protect you from the harsh rays of the sun, which are known to cause cancer and other health conditions.

Countess of Chester Hospital wanted to give their patients and staff a comfortable outdoor space where they could sit and enjoy the fresh air. The hospital contacted canopy specialists A&S Landscape, who recommended the Motiva StarSail. This is a beautiful structure that provides ample seating in a compact footprint. It features a single post, which makes it easy to install and fit seating underneath. This bespoke structure is finished in a boulder colour to match the existing building.

Wistaston Academy

The school field at this wonderful school in Crewe, Cheshire is the perfect place for children to play and learn. However, the weather can make eating lunch and getting a dose of Vitamin D outside difficult for students. This is why they contacted A&S Landscape to install two cheshire canopies.

A&S Landscape installed a Maxima Tepee tensile fabric roof shelter at the school, comprising of two modules and measuring 14000 mm x 7000 mm. Its smart, playful blue sail canvas is affixed to Slate Grey (RAL 7015) steel canopy poles.

The school’s second tensile fabric roof canopy was installed at their entrance, to protect parents and pupils from the elements as they enter and exit the premises. This was particularly important with Covid restrictions, and the school wanted to provide shelter and a space for social distancing. The school selected a Motiva Entro, which was built to size and finished in an Ultramarine Blue. The canopy is topped with a durable, lightweight plastic roofing slate, an alternative to traditional lead roof tiles. This is a long-lasting and highly efficient material that is also easy to clean.
